Bikotels were introduced in Portugal by Aldeias do Xisto. These accomodatins present cycling specialized services and infrastructures that guarantee a comfortable stay for all bike lovers.
In a Bikotel, the following services are available:
- Closed and covered compartment to safely store bikes
- Bike washing facilities
- Menus suitable for cyclists (dishes rich in carbohydrates and reinforcement of vegetables and fruits with all meals)
- Daily washing and drying of cyclist clothes
- Mini-workshop with basic tools and air filling for tires
- Outdoor bicycle parking
- MTB and / or cycling routes available (maps, technical data and GPS tracks)
