River Beaches
Most of the portuguese river beaches is in Aldeias do Xisto. The water and environmental quality is one of the main criteria for selecting these beaches, often in protected landscapes or registered natural areas. With crystal clear waters, breathtaking natural landscapes, clean air, lots of freshness and tranquility, they are unique places of leisure and well-being. This selected set of beaches has water quality indexes and support infrastructures that have earned warads, year after year, such as the Blue Flag or the Gold Medal of Quercus. These beaches are distributed throughout the territory and have different characteristics: in the waters of a river, of a reservoir, next to a Aldeia do Xisto, in a secluded but guarded place, with waterfalls or even waves.
