Schist Walking Trails - Set your foot here
The Schist Walking Trails are short walking routes, usually circular, departing and arriving at the same point in the villages. Many tracks are old paths used since ancient times by the village communities, notably by millers, shepherds, farmers, miners, among many others.
These routes are the best way enjoy the rich environment, cultural heritage and landscape of the Aldeias do Xisto. They go through points of ecological importance, traces of the communities' ways of life and their relationship with the land.
All walking routes are certified, have different levels of difficulty and are supported by visible signs that make it possible to safely walk them alone. For the most adventurous, or just for a quiet walk with friends or family.
