PR2 SRT Schist Walking Trail:Pedrógão Pequeno - The Zêzere Trail
The route descends from the town centre of Pedrógão Pequeno to the River Zêzere via an old Roman road. A detour is recommended to the Filipin Bridge, then continue on to Trilho da Levada and pass through the Tunnel of Moinhos das Freiras and the picnic grounds. This part of the walk has the magnificent granite cliffs of the Zêzere valley and, with any luck, you'll see a Common Buzzard which often flies around this site.
