This is a panoramic section of the EN238 overlooking the Zêzere Valley. Spanning 14 km, it begins in the Aldeia do Xisto of Barroca and ends at the Sarnadela Viewpoint, close to the exit towards the Aldeia do Xisto of Janeiro de Cima. Both villages are located in the municipality of Fundão and part of the Zêzere group of villages. At the Sarnadela Viewpoint, you will find a privileged view of the meandering Zêzere, the Estrela Mountain and the quartzite ridge of Muradal.

The Aldeias do Xisto Network and the Aldeias do Xisto Shops are headquartered at Barroca. Visit the Prehistoric Art Interpretation Centre. Enjoy the façades that mark the entire route along Rua 5 de Outubro. Stroll along the banks of the Zêzere and enjoy the surrounding landscape. In Janeiro de Cima, wander through the village's labyrinth of streets. Enjoy the river Zêzere from the Lavandeiras Park, take a trip on the traditional barges and find out the meaning of the "Ó da Barca!” call.
