Flanked by the imposing mounds of the Panasqueira Mines, this 3.4 km route takes you towards the prehistorical rock engravings in the Aldeia do Xisto of Barroca.

Flanked by the imposing mounds of the Panasqueira Mines, this 3.4 km route takes you towards the prehistorical rock engravings in the Aldeia do Xisto of Barroca. On leaving here in the company of the PR1 FND, the rute goes along the slopes on the left bank of the river. Usptream, there are tailings from the Panasqueira mines (Cabeço do Pião). Here, the river begins its more meandering and sinous strecht. Passing the southernmost tailings, it rapidly approaches Barroca always in conjuction with PR1 FND.
