Preserving the pure nature that surrounds it and due to the water depth, this location boasts a floating pool (for adults and children), as well as a bar, changing rooms and a parking area. The cool shade of the tall trees offers tranquillity and the opportunity to rest or simply camp peacefully. The size of the lagoon makes it suitable for water sports and fishing. Fernandaires is one of the inland bathing areas in Vila de Rei Municipality and the quality of the water was classified as "Excellent" by Quercus - National Association for Nature Conservation. The famous bass can be fished in these waters. It reigns supreme at the Bass Gastronomic Festival, with is held annually in the municipality's restaurants.

The Zaboeira bathing area of is a pleasant place where you can enjoy moments of pure fun in the floating pool. From the top of the mountain where this village stands, you can admire one of the largest natural water reserves in Portugal.
