Tips and hints

Turn-by-turn directions

After leaving here, the GRZ goes along a stretch of the old national road 2, which will take you across a bridge over the Ribeira de Codes. A few hundred metres after this, the route turns right on to a forest path. A steep climb will take you to a local viewpoint and a Reader Landscape that we suggest you visit. The last 2 km of this stretch is alternately on forest paths and paved roads, until you come to Matagosa village.
