The Meanderings off the River Zêzere constitute one of the most emblematic geomonuments in Geopark Naturtagus da Meseta Meridional. These form magnificent, accentuated curves stretching for kilometres, in what is one of the most famous landscapes classified by UNESCO. It is worth enjoying the scenery. Snaking along the schist mountain ridges, covered with pine forest, with steep, deep slopes, it is without doubt the river that surprises with a single stroke that makes this one of the most beautiful Portuguese river valleys. The presence of man is also promptly evidenced here along the shores. The schist walls testify to agricultural activity which marked the livelihood of the people.
